Just this year, the Wilderness that encompasses Aden Crater & Lava Flow was designated for preservation and protection under the National Wilderness Preservation System.Along with Kilbourne Hole, Aden Crater was recently mapped out by NASA scientists in search of hollow lava tubes underground.
